Domonique “Nikki” Miller Semeniuk is a Canadian movement educator known for her practical, clear approach to teaching movement. As founder of Serenity Somatics and NMP Somatic Education, Nikki brings over 40 years of movement study & teaching—from dance to somatics—into classrooms, clinical sessions, and professional trainings across North America. Her strength lies in making the principles of Hanna Somatic Education approachable, effective, and easy to integrate into daily life and professional practice.
She is a Certified Hanna Somatic Educator (trained at the Novato Institute, CA), continuing to serve on the AHSE Education Committee. A registered Somatic Movement Therapist with ISMETA, and holds certifications with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association, Acrobatic Arts, and Yoga Alliance. After a hip injury ended her decades-long dance studio career, Nikki turned to Hanna Somatics as a way to manage pain and reclaim her freedom of movement. What began as personal healing became a professional calling.
She leads the NMP Somatic Exercise Teacher Training program—offered both online and in person—helping fellow Canadians and international students alike build greater body awareness, nervous system balance, and sustainable mobility. Nikki’s vision is to build and connect a Canadian Somatic community—creating space for collaboration, training, and shared learning across provinces and disciplines. She supports educators, therapists, and movement professionals in bringing Somatic Exercise and clinical work into their practice in a way that feels grounded, thoughtful, and meaningful to both them and their clients. |
